Manufactured Homes
Manufactured homes are housing entities manufactured in machine shops, then transferred to the actual place where the houses will be employed. These are transported or carried in semi-trucks over public freeways. Looking by per square feet, they are found to be cheaper than site-built homes and are said to be as “trailer parks”. They are often said to be parallel to provincial areas and high-density developments. They are specifically defined as houses that are built in an isolated and protective environment following relevant Federal Building Codes. They should not be confused with “Mobile Homes” as contrary to popular belief; manufactured homes are not mobile homes.
What Are They Really…
Manufactured homes are often interred in one location or site, rented a lot & left there continually. But all these have the property in them to be moved or relocated. “Behind the curtains!” or behind all the work that goes in building a manufactured home, there are wheels, tow-hitches, axels etc. But manufactured homes are not just recreational houses. They are like motor homes or trailer parks as mentioned earlier. These homes can be seen in many deserted portions in US and used by many people who are always on the move and have no fixed location.
In the UK, there are three types of manufactured homes namely motor homes, touring caravans and another type called the static caravans. A Static caravan is the closest to a typical home, which stays in the same, place for many years, implied by the name & also has the many conveniences of a usual home. Touring caravans are caravans which are used to travel a lot and are for those people especially as mentioned earlier like vagabond types. Motor homes are identical is size to a touring caravan but have engines that do not need to be towed which is the distinguishable feature from a touring caravan. Motor homes have the many amenities of a luxurious home and can have showers, full-sized cookers. They can be used for all types of clients and are also capable of moving from site to site. Millionaires may have extravagant motor homes grander and swankier than anybody’s site built home as well!
But there are lots of things you can do with your manufactured homes. It is quite flexible from the point of view that it can be decorated according to the wishes and imagination of the buyer.
- Small places can be decorated with plants, shrubs, and flowers if your lot is comparatively smaller. Too much things should not be tried inside small place, as it won’t look decorative then.
- Manufactured homes usually have decks, which can be made into an extra room. Also the desk could be stained or decorated with different or bright colors to entertain guests or just to maintain a beautiful home.
Though these homes are very useful to the buyers in all respects, the damage concern in these houses are more compared to site-built homes, if affected by a tornado or other natural disasters which are frequent in the US, especially tornadoes & cyclones.
